How Our Advertising Platform Works

GTK Forums runs a Targeted Ad Platform, any member can place banners in sections where your target audience is most active. For example:

• Place politics-related ads in the Politics section.

• Promote tech services in Technology Projects, and so on.

Our mission is to help you connect effectively with the right audience.

Ad Creation & Submission Guidelines

• Ad Size: 343 × 120 pixels

• File Formats: JPG or PNG

• Design Tip: Use bright, clear visuals and a compelling headline that highlights the benefit to the viewer. Keep it simple and impactful 

Allowed Content: Clean, factual, and non-derogatory content only.
Disallowed Content: Ads that are offensive, misleading, frightening, or defamatory will be rejected. These standards ensure a safe and trustworthy environment for all members

Submission Process

1. Click on Create or Manage Ads.
2. Next, click Create New Ad and enter an optional title for the ad.
3. Click on Browse under AD IMAGE to select the banner you designed previously
4. Click the drop-down menu under AD DISPLAY SECTION to select the sections you want your ads to display. Note: That you can display the same ad in many sections of GTK Forum by simply clicking on Create New Ad to continue adding the same ad to many sections.
5. Under AD DURATION UNIT, enter the number of days, weeks or months to display the ad.
6. Under AD DURATION TYPE select duration type e.g. DAY, WEEK or MONTH
7. In the field under AD LANDING PAGE, type in the URL of your website page where customers will be taken to when they click on your ad. Begin the URL with this protocol: http:// or https://
8. Finally, click on Create Ad Now button to create the ad.

Approval & Placement

Once submitted, your ad will be reviewed by our moderation team. You'll receive an email whether your ad is:

• Approved: Congratulation! Your ad is booked and will go live.

• Needs Revision: We'll share reasons and suggestions.

• Disapproved: We'll explain why it doesn’t meet our guidelines.

Paid Advertising (for greater exposure)

Upon approval:

• We’ll send you detailed info on how to purchase advertising credits.

• Credits allow you to place your ad across any section, including the forum home page, for maximum visibility.

Exciting New Opportunity: Free Ad Placements!

Starting now, GTK Forums will run regular free ad placements—a great way to showcase your brand without cost:

• Keep an eye out for announcements in the forum’s Announcements section or through community emails.

• Eligibility typically requires active membership or community engagement.

• Free placements are limited and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

This initiative helps support member projects, boost visibility, and strengthen our community. We encourage you to participate!

Tips for Effective Ads

• Know your audience: Tailor your ad to the section’s focus and members' interests

• Keep it factual and honest: Avoid exaggerated or unproven claims; aim for clarity and transparency

• Stay on-brand: Your ad should reflect your identity—logos, brand colors, and consistent messaging matter
