The car has developed this annoying judder when pulling away from a standstill, especially when the engine is cold, and sometimes it feels like the clutch is slipping during acceleration in second gear. One garage told me it needs a complete mechatronic unit replacement, another said it's just a software update that'll fix everything, and a third said the clutch packs are worn and need replacing. I'm not a mechanic but I know enough to understand that three completely different diagnoses can't all be right, and I'm worried that if I just pick one and go with it, I'll end up spending a lot of money on the wrong repair. I've been looking around for a specialist that uses the proper diagnostic equipment and actually test drives the car to replicate the issue before making any recommendations, rather than just reading fault codes and guessing.
